History:In 2003 Sharpline was asked to design a new range of high quality scissors for a US distributor. The requirement was for scissors with bearing assembly, bearing swivel, black Teflon rides and made from Hitachi ATS 314 Cobalt Molybdenum alloy. We were so happy with the results that Sharpline decided to stock some of these models for our Australian customers as well.
Construction:Two piece welded. Hitachi ATS314 Cobalt Molybdenum alloy stainless steel blades. Triple drop forged blade blanks supplied by Yamamura Japan. Computer controlled, vacuum furnace hardening with nitrogen injection sub-zero slow recovery tempering (performed twice). This heat treatment is the best available and ensures our finished Delta scissors have a high corrosion resistance and a uniform hardness without being brittle. Rockwell hardness 61 to 63. Corrosion resistant handles. Japanese bearing click plate knob type adjustment assembly. Black Teflon rides to align the blades correctly and to keep their balance longer. Swivel model has bearing swivel.
Design features:Delta scissors are designed to be versatile and perform all current hairdresser’s techniques very well. The flat and thin blade profile and fine finished edges are designed for the softest cutting feel. Edge retention is up to three times as long as standard stainless steel scissors. The handle designs of the Delta range have larger finger holes, superbly weighted, comfortable designs are made for western hairdressers.
Edge type:Delta scissors have a super soft cutting feel. Slide cutting is easy and effortless. Precision cutting and point cutting is superb. Suitable for up to 30% dry cutting.
